The Lot Department is a very pretty and charming part of France with much to see: Rocamadour, St Cirq La Popie, Cahors, Domme and the Caves of Pech Merl and Padirac being particularly noteworthy.

Montgesty is an excellent centre for walking (maps in the house). Supervised canoeing and riding are available nearby with further leisure facilities in many local villages.

You will also find superb local markets and Michelin Star restaurants within a 5 mile radius, while Toulouse is a 1 ½ hour drive away and Bordeaux 2 ½ hours.
